Example
The volume of water inside a swimming pool doubles every hour. If the pool is filled to its full capacity within 8 hours, in how many hours was it filled to one eigth of its capacity?
It was full at 8 hours and because the volume doubles every hour it was 1/2 full at 7 hours and a 1/4 full at 6 hours and ann 1/8 full at 5 hours
